Our Taiwanese name database contains 544 Taiwanese surnames and 5.209 Taiwanese first names categorized by gender and frequency. The list of names from countries like Taiwan have a reasonable quality but are limited. The Taiwanese names are validated using official governmental databases we received in other countries which contained Taiwanese names as well. To create the Taiwanese name database we used 19.907 validated Taiwanese social media profiles. We have a detailed explanation of our methodology and illustrate our approach with several examples.
