Palestinian first names
In Palestine, parents usually choose a first name for their child based on cultural and religious traditions. Many parents opt for Arabic names that have significant meaning or are related to Islamic figures. Family names are also considered when choosing a name, as it is important for the child to have a connection to their family heritage. Some parents also consult with religious leaders or family members for guidance on choosing a name.

Popular Palestinian surnames
In Palestine, surnames are passed down from father to child. The first name is typically a given name, followed by the father's first name and then the family name. For example, a person named Ahmad Mohammed Abu Bakr would be Ahmad, son of Mohammed, from the Abu Bakr family. However, it is not uncommon for people to adopt a surname based on their profession or place of origin.
