Italian first names
In Italy, parents typically pick a first name for their child based on a combination of tradition and personal preference. Many families choose names that have been passed down through generations, such as those of saints or family members. They also often consider the meanings and associations of the names, as well as the sound and flow of the name. Additionally, they may also take into account the name's popularity and trendiness. Overall, the selection process is typically a thoughtful and meaningful one for Italian parents.

Popular Italian surnames
In Italy, the surname is passed down through the paternal line. Children take on their father's surname, and it is not common for women to keep their maiden name after marriage. However, in recent years, more women have started to use a combination of their maiden and married names or retain their maiden name professionally. Additionally, Italian surnames often indicate a person's place of origin or ancestry.
